Description

This method, often used in trade contracts, is used to determine the dry substance or moisture (water) content of molasses samples.

The mass loss of molasses, mixed with sand, is determined after drying in a vacuum oven at 65 °C.

The absolute difference between two results obtained under repeatability conditions should not be greater than 0.84 g/100 g and under reproducibility conditions should not be greater than 2.77 g/100 g.
